Meden Cup Hilt Rapier – Synthetic Training Sword (Thibault d’Anvers Style)

3.490.000

Over-engineered synthetic cup hilt rapier, inspired by Thibault d’Anvers.
Full steel tang, walnut grip, stainless fittings. Real handling, no compromises.
Built to train hard and shine harder.

Custom-built for serious Spanish rapier swordsmen in Vietnam — perfect where steel swords aren’t allowed in public parks.

When mere training swords aren’t enough, you step up to the Meden Cup Hilt Rapier.
Inspired by the legendary style of Thibault d’Anvers, this rapier was born when our head engineer got bored, a client dared him (by slamming cash onto the table), and we ended up building the most ridiculously over-engineered synthetic rapier we could imagine.

At first glance, it looks too beautiful to beat up. But make no mistake — this sword was forged for serious training.
A full internal steel tang runs through the hand-shaped walnut grip, connecting to a stainless steel guard, hand-protecting cup, and pommel. It’s real sword architecture, except the blade is a high-impact synthetic masterpiece — safe for practice, unbreakable under normal use, and absolutely unforgiving to clumsy furniture.

A Steel Rapier in Disguise (Almost):
This sword behaves so much like steel, it might make your real blades jealous. Excellent point control, fast recoveries, no embarrassing floppiness mid-thrust. The blade is rigid enough for precision, but bends safely on contact — perfect for drills, technical sparring, or anywhere steel swords are restricted.

It’s not just a practice weapon. It’s a serious alternative to steel.

Key Features:

  • Blade: High-impact synthetic blade. Swing it hard. Abuse it harder. It won’t crack — and better yet, it doesn’t flop around like a wet noodle. Nearly half the blade remains stiff to give you crisp control and realistic blade presence.

  • Tang: Full-length steel tang — because fake swords deserve real construction. This isn’t cosplay gear — it’s weapon-grade engineering (minus the lawsuits).

  • Grip: Hand-shaped walnut wood, warm and solid in hand. You’ll want to show it off — but more importantly, you’ll want to train with it.

  • Guard, Cup, and Pommel: All stainless steel. No rust. No excuses. Designed to protect your hand and balance the blade like the real deal.

  • Handling: Balanced at 13 cm from the guard, with a total weight of 960g. That’s rapier realism right there. Control is precise, point tracking is sharp, and thrusts are effortless.

  • Flex & Safety: This synthetic blade flexes under 5–6kg of force during thrusts — safe for partners, but stiff enough to keep your technique honest. You get clean hits, clean bends, and nobody needs a trip to the dentist.

  • Realistic Behavior: It handles like a steel rapier, not a pool noodle. You won’t believe it’s synthetic — until you realize it doesn’t need oil, can’t rust, and costs way less than a metal blade.

Blade Length (cm) On a sword, knife or dagger, The “Blade Length” spec is measured from the tip of the blade to where the blade enters the hilt, this will include a ricasso portion if present. For katanas, this measurement includes the habaki. On a spear it is a measurement of the edged portion and does not include the socket. On an axe, it is a measurement of the axe edge itself, in a straight line from point to point. Please note: Due to the hand made nature of these items, all specs should be considered as approximates. This info is provided to give you a good idea of the product being presented, the one you receive may vary from the specific one we took measurements of.
